I cannot say enough good things about this garage, we have been using them for 20 plus years and trust them completely. The level of customer service is amazing and they feel more like a trusted family friend than a business. Nothing is too much trouble and the customer is always their first priority, going above and beyond every time we use them. We have referred many friends to them over the years and every one of them have become loyal customers too. I’ve been a customer at 1st Stop for many years. I recently required their assistance with couple of mechanical issues. As always, they were absolutely brilliant. They discussed potential options with me and we agreed the best course of action prior to them completing the work. As always both the level of customer care and repair work completed on my vehicle were top notch.

This is a great business and I use them regularly to MOT and service my vehicles. They have saved my previous car from an early visit to the scrap yard by saving me a fortune on a fully replaced flywheel and clutch. As well as this they now look after my current car and are always very thorough with a great knowledge of many issues on both older and modern manufacturers. They have never failed me nor my wallet as they will try to offer various options when you are on a tight budget. Detailed answers and fair pricing. Friendly and helpful service from all staff with great all-round communication skills.

On Tuesday I had a problem with a deflating tyre after I had left for work. So I called in and saw Kevin and left him with the car. He inspected the tyre, ordered a new one, fitted the spare wheel on so I could get home. I returned on Thursday as I was not at work Wednesday and left him with the car. He refitted and balanced the wheel with the already fitted new tyre and I picked up the car after work. It was so easy to deal with Kevin and I’d like to say Thank You very much to everyone involved, you got me out of trouble.

Absolutely trust this local business, I use it for all the cars in the family. I trust that unnecessary work won’t be undertaken and work that is is always perfect and reasonably priced . Definitely recommend.

I've used this firm for several years now to service and MOT my car. They always seem to do a good job, are upfront about costs and always helpful. They even remind you when the next MOT is due which is handy as I always forget!

1st stop recently carried out the MOT on my car. It was a lovely surprise that it passed first time, with no extra work needed on it. There were a couple of advisories which they have offered to quote for, and I'm sure I will take them up on. I would definitely recommend them for their excellent service.

I have been going to 1st stop for quite a few years they have always treated me so well they have never made me feel silly for not knowing what I'm talking about. The customer service is fantastic the work is fantastic I cannot fault them in any way I can only praise them and thank them for always helping me when I need it.

Just had my MOT done after getting text reminder, very useful. After moving to the area 2 years ago needed to find a new garage. So glad we found 1st Stop. We take 3 cars here for MOT /Service/ mechanical problems. Always polite, helpful, knowledgeable and keep you informed . Helped my daughter with her first car and the numerous worries that came with it. Talked to her in a way she could relate to and not patronising. They always check before starting on any work and estimates given are normally spot on. Would recommend to anyone who wants to be treated with respect and honesty

Simply the Best!

Annual MOT and service today carried out with the usual courtesy and efficiency. I, and my family have been using First Stop for some years now. It is wonderful to have such a good garage nearby. On many occasions I have had to phone up about an unusual noise or something else not quite right with the car. They have always managed to look at the car that day and very often fix it straight away. First class service, thank you 1st Stop.

I’ve been using First Stop for at least 20 years. They service and repair my car, my wife’s car and my son’s car. They are considerably cheaper than a main dealer and offer the personal service I expect from a locally owned and managed business. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

I was recommended 1st Stop by a friend and now understand why they have such a great reputation. I bought a BMW that needed quite a bit of work doing. 1st Stop were fantastic! Not only did they fit parts that they sourced but also those sourced by myself. This Garage quite simply does what all car owners dream about, only the work that needs to be done and at a reasonable price. If you ever go to an M.O.T Centre and feel like you are up in Court for something that you did not commit, then go to this garage, the Judge and the Jury are 100% on your side. A refreshing change!

Having become disillusioned with other local garages/dealerships charging over the odds, carrying out unauthorised work, and ALWAYS finding things that ‘needed’ to be done (when they clearly didn’t), I decided to look for an alternative independent garage when my BMW’s MOT and service became due. Came across 1st Stop Cars online, and was impressed with the reviews. Called in last week and was given a convenient appointment and a fair quote on the spot. Thankfully the car sailed through the MOT, although there was an issue with one of the locking wheel bolts which turned into ‘one of those jobs’! Kevin called to report and gave a range of options. Despite this problem taking a good deal of extra time to resolve, the work was completed very skilfully on the same day, and at no additional charge. In my experience it’s rare to go to a garage and pay only what was originally quoted, but that is exactly what happened today. Really impressed with the service received and the skill of the technicians who worked on the car. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and will certainly be returning.
